Benefits of using CMA pugmills over other conditioning methods
Conditioning and stabilisation of granular material is our core business and is what we excel in:
- Demonstrated successful completion on many remote site projects enabled by our fit for purpose pugmills that have been designed and modified to meet the rigors of Australian conditions. (see Projects Completed)
- Safety is not compromised as all machine movements are isolated from pedestrian movements.
- Material arrives to the site consistently mixed leaving only the balancing, compaction and trimming to take place saving money, time and effort.
- The number of water trucks is significantly reduced as material is already at OMC.
- Water is not lost to evaporation or over spray from water trucks. All water is directly pumped into the mixing chamber eliminating wastage.
- Fuel consumption is dramatically reduced as our pugmills use only 17 litres per hour. It also eliminates fuel consumption of ancillary equipment needed on site with traditional methods.
- The number of site personal needed is reduced saving on overheads.
- Meeting programmed production is easier as material is mixed in a fixed location leaving only the delivery of the product.
- CMA pugmills have an inbuilt 45-ton binder silo enabling the production of stabilised materials for floodway etc., eliminating the need to mobilise in-situ stabilisers, spreader trucks, water trucks and additional work crews.
- CMA pugmills all have a gob hopper enabling trucks to be loaded without segregation of the material occurring. This also eliminates the need to double handle material from a stockpiling perspective.
